ROES LAUNCH FAILS ON MAC SYSTEMS - "MAY HARM COMPUTER"
July 21, 2023
Earlier today Apple has caused an issue with security recognition of our native installed applications due to a certificate issue. Because Apple erroneously revoked the certificate that older .dmg’s were signed with, at present users will likely see a warning that the ROES application will harm their computer and to remove it. Due to this sudden change and lack of response from Apple, we are regenerating all of the native install launch.dmg files for each branded ROES Desktop.
In order to run ROES as soon as possible, customers will need to re-install from the freshly created dmg file(s) we are creating here for each ROES launch and replace the current application when prompted. For labs, if you are hosting the launch.dmg file(s) on your own site, please pull the newer one from our site late Friday or early Saturday or direct your customers to the link at www.roeslaunch.com/ROES/labs/labnamefolder/ to get the newer file from the index page we host for each launch configuration. Also using that same index page, users can use the Java version and launch.jnlp with the instructions in the lower half of the page. We apologize for this inconvenience.
